High altitude Trail Running Camps in Davos 2027
July to October 2027
A Trail Camp?!
It's more than just a trail camp... It’s a running celebration! This summer, join me in Davos — the highest city in Europe, nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps — for an unforgettable trail running experience.
We'll be running on high alpine terrain at elevations reaching 2,700 meters (8,860 feet) above sea level, swim in crystal-clear glacier lakes, and dive into everything you need to know about running on technical trails.
Whether you're a complete beginner taking your first steps off-road or a seasoned runner chasing your next challenge, this is your chance to connect with a passionate, like-minded community — and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Insurance
Each participant needs their own health and accident insurance that covers mountain sports in Switzerland, including mountain rescue, helicopter evacuation and repatriation (Swiss residents: Rega membership or equivalent recommended). Trail running in the Alps carries real risks: you decide on each section whether you continue, and you follow the guide's instructions. Liability is governed by our Participation terms 2027 (Swiss law, courts of Basel), which you accept when you sign up. We recommend travel cancellation insurance and, for runners from abroad, the annual ITRA insurance for trail running accidents.

Cancellation Policy
-
Your deposit is never simply lost
– Switch to another 2027 camp with free places: free until 1 May 2027
– Pass your place to a friend: free until 30 days before the camp
– Cancel at least 90 days before the camp: your deposit moves to 2028
– Cancel and your place is filled from the waiting list: CHF 300 back (350 minus 50 processing)
Otherwise the deposit is non-refundable. If your camp is already full when your deposit arrives, you choose another camp, the waiting list or a full refund.
If the balance is not paid by 15 May 2027, the place goes to the waiting list and the deposit is kept.
Balance:
– more than 90 days before arrival: refunded or carried over to the next year
– 30 to 90 days before arrival: 50 % refunded
– less than 30 days before arrival: no refund, but if your place can be filled, you receive 100 % of what you paid as credit for the next year
If you cancel because of an injury or illness confirmed by a medical certificate, we treat it as a cancellation more than 90 days before the camp.
We recommend travel cancellation insurance. -
Weather
The camps take place in any weather. The guide adapts routes and timing to the conditions. Bad weather is not a reason for cancellation or refund. -
Cancellation by us
Camps are led by Dr. Elena Lopez or another qualified trail running guide engaged by Sports Medicine Consulting GmbH. If a guide becomes unavailable, we first replace them with another qualified guide and the camp takes place as booked. Only if a camp cannot take place at all (a guide is ill or injured at short notice and no qualified replacement is available, or official closures or restrictions make the stay impossible), we inform you as soon as possible and you choose:
a) a free move to another camp of the same year with free places,
b) a new date we open for the affected group, if we can offer one, or
c) a full refund of everything you paid to us, within 14 days.
Further claims are excluded to the extent permitted by law.

¡Hola!
I'm Elena Lopez — a doctor and ultra runner who has called the Swiss Alps home for nine years. I was born and raised in Asturias in the north of Spain and moved to Switzerland after medical school. I trained here as a physician, spent years working with athletes in sports medicine, and today I work in cardiology in Basel.
The camps are my running side: I plan the routes, lead the groups and share the Davos trails I know best. You probably know me from Instagram, where I share how I balance a demanding job as a doctor with my passion for ultra running!
I hold 5 Fastest Known Time records, including:
-
Via Alpina in Switzerland — 404 km +22,000m
-
Brissago-Dufourspitze — 170 km +8,000m
-
From the lowest to the highest point in Switzerland!
-
This year I'm tackling two major ultra running projects:
-
Great Himalayan Trail — 1,600 km +100,000m
